Here's a rendering technique I've been toying with over the last couple of months in Unreal. It will be used in the upcoming game "Valley of the Lost Abbey" by @rucach.bsky.social The effect is calculated at runtime with the goal of making any scene look more painterly. #UE5 #GameDev #UnrealEngine

A landscape with grass, brushes, trees and sky. There is a modification to the visuals that helps make the image look more painterly.

I had the honour of being asked to illustrate the marketing piece for this amazing Steam event coming up for Paddy's day presented by IMIRT - The Irish Game Makers Association. Games from Ireland!

It's been a real treat working with @denmanrooke.com , caitlyn and all the crew at @rucach.bsky.social on their wonderful meditative foraging game as part of IndieDev 2025 program, composing traditional themes with a constructional twist. Dreamy work! Got to meet the hero in the flesh too!
