I’m watching Empire of the Sun. Can’t work out if I’ve seen it before. I knew it had a connection to my Granddad, Eric Flynn, because he also grew up in a Chinese POW camp, but I’d forgotten that he was actually cast in the film! It was overwhelming to see a close up of his face at the 1h 10m mark
