Thing is, there's nothing wrong with being an independent contractor if you're actually treated like one. Tonight is a great example. Cope had the opportunity to wrestle for MLP, Tony probably could have said "sorry we might need you on AEW." But he didn't, because he respects the relationship.
Are we forgetting that Caster and Bowens wanted singles runs in AEW? Like say what you want about those pushes but saying the mistake was breaking up the Acclaimed is discounting that they both wanted to try something new. Why would you want them stuck as something they didn't want to be anymore?
