Our final keynote talk at ISP 2026 was delivered by Dr Christina Tadiri on 'Incorporating Sex and Gender into Parasitology Research, a timely reminder that properly accounting for sex and gender can deepen our understanding of host-parasite interactions and improve health outcomes.

Day 2 of our Annual ISP Meeting opened with a brilliant talk on African Trypanosomes by Prof. Derek Nolan from Trinity College Dublin, with a rare bonus - a look at the microscope used by Sir David Bruce in his landmark sleeping sickness research in Uganda in 1903. 🔬

Our second session of the Annual ISP Meeting was opened by Dr Annetta Zintl, Associate Professor at UCD School of Veterinary Medicine, with a brilliant talk on 'Ticks and Tick-borne Pathogens in Ireland and the Potential Effects of Climate Change'. A huge thank you to Dr Zintl for joining us! 👏
