in re Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" (which, in the original Martian Chronicles, occurs on today's date), I didn't realize the very first published version of the story, in Collier's magazine, was set in April 1985. (the current edition of Martian Chronicles now sets it in 2057).

So, bluesky, where is the discussion of the absolute insane things AI is doing in the realm of mathematics? It seems like we're nearly at the inflection point where the models are as good as human domain experts, and soon may well be better. Is that discourse only happening on twitter?

Cat interests are more closely aligned with my own: they just want to eat, lay around and be cute, and murder anything smaller than them if the spirit moves them. Dogs keep asking you to go places and do things that are mostly interesting to the dog.
