July 30, 2016. Angel Perdomo on the mound, Fort Wayne runners at first and third, one out. They broke on contact, left fielder Austin Davis made the catch, and the appeal went to first base instead of third. Inning-ending double play, run counted. I was beside myself as the defense left the field.

This feels true. I don’t remember the Dodgers *ever* getting the fourth out in an inning against the Jays, so maybe those games are still going? Have we tried sending someone home from third, telling the umps it counts for Game Seven and that the Dodgers never appealed at third?

It’s making me flash back to the game when Gurriel (I think?) had the ball and stepped on first base but they said it wasn’t an out because he didn’t *really* mean it.

There are four outs in baseball. Of course there are. The fourth one is just mostly a secret to all the players and coaches and umpires and fans and anyone who has ever heard of baseball. Silly Blue Jays.

One of the first little lesser-ish-known Toronto gems that made me want to learn more & more about the city... Weather updates through the day (and after 7pm for the next one): Green = clear Red = cloudy Flashing red = rain Flashing white = snow + lights running up/down for rising/falling temp.
