Nice work here on pathways to zero emissions for Nordic countries. Solar is in a supporting role, unlike in lower latitudes where it will dominate. TLDR: Net zero by 2040 with lower system costs.

I also used 50 years of experience writing about these issues. The drawing was the smallest part of all that, and I had no budget to do it any other way.

Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.

I think the Moomin mug market might have been more or less swamped by overproduction? At the fleamarket today, all the (semi)professional sellers had numerous Moomin mugs, price ranges 12€–85€ but most under 30€. New ones retail for around 25€, unless on sale.

Without significant exposure to little girl-identifying critters this may not be obvious, but Elsa from Frozen is likely one of the most iconic fictional characters of the 2010s. We just sold the one on the right on the fleamarker, then I saw a 4yo dancing on a bike path in full Elsa getup.
That these turned out to be car dependent is could be a fundamental issue with current societies? It is hard to have small, dispersed towns, and also ensure that there are workplaces for everyone nearby, without central planning. We'll need density anyway, unlike the New Town planners envisioned.

I figured out a useful generalization hack. I had a high-res railroad network, including all individual tracks. I wanted to thin this down to single lines for my map. I've used some GIS tools for this in the past, and/or manually selected segments. But this time I used some network analaysis tools.

A nice-looking, oddly abandoned bike near our place, just leaning by a planting pot. Had a closer look, it was unlocked. Thanks to a service QR sticker on it I could call the company where it had been for service; the owner just called back and said it had been stolen from Eastern Helsinki!
