Doing some research for a catalogue essay, and found this unannotated magazine cutting where Eavan Boland interviews Norah McGuinness. Would any #irishstudies / #irishpoetry people know when or where Boland edited an arts column? It is, of course, a brilliant exchange between these two women.

Was not expecting the McGahern memoir to open with football, or to reveal that John’s first date with Madeleine was United V West Ham at Upton Park in 1967. United won 3-1, and Nobby Stiles, George Best and Bobby Charlton all played that day.
