Did some community outreach to let the local community know about the mental health services offered at my department’s in-house clinic. We also made Feelings Jenga ~ kids loved it!! Each block had a question or prompt about naming emotions, coping, personal strengths, empathy, family, and more.

There’s a tall stack of jumbo wooden blocks for kids to play Jenga. I owned a jumbo Jenga set that hadn’t been used yet, and so I printed little psychology-related questions and prompts for kids on some shopping labels and applied them to the blocks. The photo is taken from above, and the three blocks on top have cute little questions on them. The blocks read: What helps you calm down when you’re upset? Who helps you feel safe at home? What’s something nice you’ve done for someone? They were a success!!! Yaaayyy!!! Some of the other prompts included “Show me your ‘angry monster’ walk!” Or “If your feelings were animals, which ones would they be?”. There were 56 unique prompts in total. So cool!
