Proudly representing Maryland’s 2nd Congressional District. Dad, husband, former public school teacher, and county executive. Always Ravens + Orioles.

Connecting workers with good jobs is common sense. Thank you to Small Business Committee Chairman Roger Williams and Maryland workforce leaders for joining me at Dwyer Workforce Development in Baltimore to discuss bipartisan solutions to create pathways to good careers nationwide.

Investing in our schools and environment goes hand in hand. The new Deer Park Elementary is Baltimore County's first net-zero school, producing as much energy as it uses. Proud to see this effort I started as Baltimore County Executive come to life. Congratulations, Deer Park! 🏫🌎🎒

Preserving our history strengthens #MD02. Great to stop by the 30th annual Baltimore County African American Cultural Festival in Towson! Thank you to everyone whose hard work made this celebration possible, creating opportunities to honor and educate our community.

Strong neighborhoods start with attainable housing. I joined the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors for a panel on boosting housing supply and reducing costs for Marylanders. It's exactly why I worked to get my bipartisan RESIDE Act enacted into law.

As extreme weather becomes more frequent, too many Americans can't get the insurance coverage they need. Proud to introduce the Community Disaster Protection Act with the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition & Rep. Min to make disaster protection more affordable for high-risk communities.

As a former Baltimore County Public Schools teacher, I know investing in our schools means investing in our future. Proud to celebrate Lansdowne High School's $156 million expansion, which I helped secure funding for as Baltimore County Executive—one of the largest school investments in our county!

From national parks to neighborhood green spaces, our public lands are an essential part of our communities and national heritage. Let’s continue investing in conservation and protecting these shared spaces for future generations.

Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Barrett, and Justice Kavanaugh were on the Trump-Xi state dinner guest list. Justices are meant to be independent of the president, not at lavish state dinners with them. My ROBE Act will help restore fairness and trust.

Faith in the Supreme Court depends on its independence. Overturning decades of legal precedent while justices hobnob at White House dinners and accept private jet travel from interested parties is testing that faith. My ROBE Act will help restore fairness and trust.

Lupus affects an estimated 1.5 million Americans, and advocacy like the Lupus Foundation of America's Walk to End Lupus Now makes a real difference. Great to join our #MD02 community at the Walk to End Lupus Now at Canton Waterfront Park! 💜

A free press is fundamental to our democracy. President Trump's attack on news organizations he doesn't like is unconstitutional—and it's the kind of thing we see in dictatorships. The White House belongs to the American people, not to Donald Trump. www.npr.org/2026/09/19/n...

CNN, MS NOW, Politico reporters denied access to White House following Trump ban

Three reporters were blocked from the White House grounds Saturday morning, a day after President Trump said CNN, Politico, and MS NOW would be banned for reporting "FICTION and LIES."

Speaker Johnson just sent Congress home until after the midterms. That means ZERO votes on lowering costs, ending corruption, addressing AI, or responding to the Iran war before Election Day. Americans don't get a recess—Congress shouldn't either.

Small-business owners deserve clear, consistent rules to hire, grow, and invest in their communities. That's why I was proud to join the International Franchise Association's panel on the bipartisan American Franchise Act—and honored to be named Legislator of the Year!
