Here's a follow-up video of the original Game Boy successfully powering on! I plan to do a full rebuild of the unit with a new case, screen, and rechargeable power solution. (At some point down the road.)

So I came across this (according to the seller) "non-functional" original Game Boy online for a relatively small price. Turns out the battery contacts just needed to be cleaned due to corrosion build up. So now I've got a fully working Game Boy with boat load of games and a fun magnifier/light!

Dissembled original Game Boy with freshly cleaned battery contacts and cleaned internal case. Internal motherboard and overall circuitry are o. Full display on top of a blue anti-static mat.Full line up of now fully functional original Game Boy and ten included games in protective dust covers as well as the screen magnifier/night light accessory. All on a blue anti-static mat.Fun one to one comparison of the original Game Boy/game cartridge and the Lego set reproduction. Both sitting on top of a blue anti-static mat.

So I made my own character/room for Gogh~ It's been fun setting things up so far! The gif customization adds so much extra fun to it all. Fun fact! I somewhat based the layout off of my office in real life. (And my character is somewhat based off of my Splatoon Inkling OC.) #gogh

My new character with purple hair and a black eye patch sitting in a black office chair and looking up at the viewer with a white glass bookcase and a red CRT TV showing Mario game play behind him.

After a week, Wing Zero EW Ver. Ka is completed! Not bad for having been out of practice for a year. The most time consuming part were the water decals. (And unfortunately, not all of them made it. 😔) Regardless, I'm proud and glad I could take the time to really make this particular kit shine!

Completed full body build of Wing Zero Custom EW Ver.Ka with full line detailing, paint, and water decals applied to entire body and included accessories.Model on display with full wing span articulation and final posing on white base stand on top of brown wood table.Close up detail of head, torso, shoulder and arms with visable line detailing and water decals applied. Completed Gundam model kit in grey display case on white base stand and with Endless Waltz acrylic logo on the side.

Despite being in the city, my significant other and I were able to catch some of the aurora borealis! (Yes, it was localized entirely in our kitchen. And no, you cannot see it.)

First glimpse of green and purple aurora borealis in the night sky with power lines outlining the bottom left foreground.Dramatic flares of aurora borealis with purple and green flares streaking across the night sky along with trees and power lines outlining the overall foreground.Peaceful streams of aurora borealis with a large purple streak surrounded by teal rays just above the trees and roof of a house in the night sky.Rippling streams of purple and teal aurora borealis inthe night sky over trees and rooftops with power lines stretched throughout the middle of the frame.
