Full time. Spurs ran into a London City buzz-saw today, and got played off the park. Final score is 1-6.
Goal to London City. Cascarino piles on the misery for Spurs. TOT 1-6 LCR 94'
Gotta say I find it hard to criticize London City for buying a very good team when plenty of WSL sides could've easily done that for about the cost of six months of Sandro Tonai's salary, and chose not to.
All the energy has gone out of this match with three minutes left to go in regulation. Both teams just playing out the string at this point. TOT 1-5 LCR 88'
Goal London City. Unlucky. Kop rushed out to cut out a scoring chance, but Diani got in the way of the clearance and it falls right to her feet. She taps into an open goal. Some appeal for a handball as the block seemed to go off Diani's arm, but it's not given. TOT 1-5 LCR 75'.
GREAT save from Kop on Anyomi, after London City put together a truly impressive break via Van de Donk. I kinda hate admitting how good this Lionesses team is.
That's a pretty shocking decision to give the foul there after she initially let play go on. Boos around Brisbane Road and for good reason.
Sub for Spurs -- Pelova is off for Martinez.
Holdt with a long range shot from the top of the box and it goes wide. Looked like Lete had it well covered anyway. TOT 1-4 LCR 65'
If you want to cling to some semblance of hope, Spurs are very much a second half team. But it's hard when you spot your opponent a 4-0 lead.
Ohhhhhhh Spurs with a golden chance to cut the lead to 2-4. Holdt with a good delivery into the box, but Vinberg couldn't put the chance on target.
GOAL! SPURS PULL ONE BACK! PELOVA SCORES! Blakstad with a lovely cross into the box, it falls to Victoria's feet and she slots it home. I don't know how much of a difference it'll make, but it's something! TOT 1-4 LCR 54'
Goal to London City. Van De Donk bundles it in. TOT 0-4 LCR 52'
OK I'm annoyed at the match official. Gaupset got clearly fouled, no call, but they're happy to call the foul on Putellas (which was a foul to be clear).
Two halftime subs for Spurs: Matilda Vinberg and Ella Morris are on for Hanson and Dijkstra.
We're back underway in the 2nd half. Spurs trailing London City 0-3 at home.
I decided to change the cat litter at halftime and that was a more pleasurable experience than that first half.
HALFTIME. Well, that was a clinic from London City. Two goals from Putellas and one from Diani puts the visitors up 0-3 at the break. Spurs running into a buzz-saw today.
Oh man Nilden with a great chance but has her shot deflected over the bar. Corner.
OH MY GOD FANTASTIC free kick from Blakstad, Lete gets a hand to it and tips it off the post. Spurs' best chance yet.
Fantastic dribble at the endline by Holdt, forces a late Spurs corner.
