Since the start of this year we have been busy working with the team at @nhsenglandldn race strategy team to create a comprehensive e-learning course on sexual safety for healthcare professionals and managers in healthcare for the @nhsleadershipacademy

Today is #NSMD, a day organised by @doctorsindistress.bsky.social and NHS Practitioner Health to honour the health and care professionals we’ve tragically lost. Together, we can help to make sure that no more lives are lost to suicide. #HopeThroughAction www.instagram.com/reel/DOq7etI...

Last week @thebma members voted in favour of a motion for the BMA to lobby for a national reporting system for sexual harassment, mandatory active bystander training, external investigators to assess cases of sexual misconduct and support victims as witnesses in tribunals. And we fully agree!

And they only went and won the best first time speaker award! Congrats to Anya & Katie both student volunteers with us who took the BMA student conference by storm! Anya and Katie spoke about the need for med schools to sign up to NHSE Sexual Safety Charter & tackle sexual violence in med schools.

Super proud of med student volunteers Anya and Katie who presented their motion for the Student BMA council asking medical schools to sign up to NHS England Sexual Safety Charter and to take action on sexism and sexual violence affecting med students. And we’re pleased to say the motion passed!

‼️ Calling all med students! We need you to complete our survey on sexism and sexual violence at med school. We need to know if you have experienced any form of sexism, sexual harassment or sexual assault whilst studying or out on placement so that we can demand med schools protect students better!
