I can't think of any (except some accounts of people playing solo games in the same space, but not necessarily intertwining their stories) - but solo-together is a really fascinating idea! Please reply here or to the original post if you have recs, I'll follow both!

I’m interested in finding “solo-together” TTRPGs that have multiple participants each playing the same solo game but the stories they are creating combine at the end for a group finale. The example I can offer is Meet Me at the Tavern. Have any suggestions?

More Boston today - South End! I took the T metro - hurray for public transportation!! Here's a thread of where I wandered (Boston is undoubtedly my favorite large city in the US, and I don't even like large cities, but Boston is special), follow along!

A picture of Trinity Episcopal church in Boston, Massachusetts. The old and grand church is flanked by skyscrapers and stands against a blue sky with some clouds.

Also amazing in Somerville: Somerville Chocolate (try the smoked one, amazing) and the incredible variety of restaurants, bakeries, and cafes. Yesterday we bought bread at Wildgrain Bakery and then had ceviche and pisco sours at Machu Picchu. All great. Links to all below

Did I buy something? Of course I did - two beautiful physical editions of "Last Train to Bremen" by @seaexcursion.itch.io and "The Time We Have" by @moreblueberries.bsky.social But yeah, I'll go back.

I love Boston for many reasons, but today I found a new one: the incredible @sidequestbooks.bsky.social - a book and game shop in Somerville with the most impressive collection of indie TTRPGs I've seen in my life. Incredible stuff, better than the IPR booth at any convention. 🔥 1 /

I'll be in Boston, dog sitting for friends until 08/11 - very happy to spend some time in one of my favorite cities! We are going to see friends and we already made plans to go to Myers + Chang (our fav restaurant), Flour, etc... If you have recs on bookstores and game shops, please let me know! 🙏🏻

Excited to see projects exploring the Happily Ever After - particularly in Larp form, particularly for a sizable group of players! Take a look

I'm thrilled to announce that BLOODY SLIPPERS, a theater larp for seven players, is available for sale on Paracelsus Games! Written and designed by @cloakofshadow.bsky.social, Bloody Slippers is a retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princesses exploring what Happily Ever After means and what comes next.

playtest material has space for a few event reports its first issue. We aren't that interested in convention reports, but if you know of a game design event, workshop, talk or jam that you think produced work or opinions which would be of interest to the mag, please send us a 400-600 word summary!

So Girl Frame got very HOT and very INTENSE today: everybody fucked, with very different levels of satisfaction; we killed a Gorgon that infiltrated our Frame hangar; Tags rained down on everybody, including "paralyzing anxiety" and "overwhelming depression"; Void penetrated everything. ... Wow.

Back on one of my favorite trails, the Asylum Reservoir Loop in Middletown, CT. It was quiet, empty, beautiful, with just a hint of the coming fall season (which cannot come soon enough). So many mushrooms. Go outside if you can!

A view of the Asylum Reservoir from the trail: in the forefront, some trees and a reddish bed of pine needles; in the background, the water and more trees.A beautiful purple mushroom on the Asylum Reservoirs Trail in Middletown, CT. I am catching up with Dark Winds season 3 and 4. I did not expect a cameo by George R. R. Martin and Robert Redford as jail mates playing chess in Episode 1! 😆♟️ (It makes sense, they are executive producers for the series - still super weird hah)

A moment of pure joy: a local orchard has... chestnut trees! And they will have chestnuts come autumn. Autumns in Italy are dominated by two flavors: chestnuts and persimmons. I miss them both dearly, but at least one will now be available nearby! 🌰💚

Sen and I thought we were done with interviews for @rpgroots.bsky.social, but then realized we needed to include APs in the discussion. So we asked @friede.bsky.social for an hour of her time - and she gave us much more than that, sharing her deep and nuanced knowledge with such charm and warmth!

What a joy to talk both @senfoonglim.bsky.social and @czamboni.bsky.social for their monumental project on RPG Roots about what Actual Play is, has been, can be. And now I’m going to take a nap. (Sorry inbox, you still have to wait)
