The easiest possible layup for a President at war with another country would be to explain that they are attacking us. Trump won't do that because he views Minnesota as a bigger enemy than Iran.

Rogers says Radio Free Europe should be focused on "the Russian periphery"—which is how Russia describes the CEE region—and should not be broadcasting in places like "Hungary and Greece." Apparently she's unaware of the adversarial influence in those countries.

Hearing is adjourned. I hope Senators aren't misled by Rogers' favorite line: "I will not be making day-to-day editorial decisions at USAGM." Her leadership of the Agency will set the tone of coverage, and she says she will give guidance about US foreign policy priorities (cont)
