Rock Pooling nr Mansands with @johnwalterswildife.bsky.social and Charles Tyler. Nudibranch highlights were Aeolidiella alderi, Discodoris rosi, Favorinus branchialis and 2 Eubranchus Exiguus. I’ve now seen 19 species of nudibranch and 2 seaslugs at Mansands! #nudibranch #devonwildlife #rockpool
Some great rook pooling nr Mansands today with 2 new species for me with several commoner species. These are 2 Amphorina andra and a single Acanthodoris pilosa. The A. andra were found in seaweed root mass feeding on Knotted Thread Hydroid Obelia geniculata (shown in photo 5). #nudibranch #rockpool

The exquisite micro moth Oecophora bractella - a relative of 'Geoff' flies in the the early morning sunshine between 6 and 7 am in the ancient oakwoods of the Dart Valley Dartmoor, Devon at this time of year. It is associated with dead wood, the larva probably feeds on fungi. #teammoth

Immigrant Moths in the trap last night: 1-2 Striped Hawk-moth Hyles livornica seen along the southern coasts of England and Ireland in varying numbers. Is this year going to be a good one? 3 is a Small Mottled Willow Spodoptera exigua, 7 in the trap. Also known as Beet Armyworm!
