The future of County Hall must be NHS. The campus is next-door to Worcestershire Royal Hospital. It is the ideal site for supporting and step-down care. The NHS should be given first refusal at a fair price. I’m calling on the County Council to put the NHS first.

As part of my work on the science & technology select committee young people recently shared how they feel about being online & how they want technology to be safe. Hear more about what they said in my video. 👇🏻

Grateful of my time at @HeadwayWorcs today & to those who shared their stories with me. While there I met the talented Mark who set up “The Blind Craftsman” & we did a video to share the amazing work being produced by many who use the workshop there. Take a look here 👇🏻

It was a real pleasure to give my keynote to a wide range of people working in energy and gas at IGEM’s annual conference. Energy policy needs to be focussed on people and real life, and as an industry this is a moment to plan for success, believe in our mission, and believe in ourselves.

Good news! Cranham Primary School and Cranberries Nursery & Oldbury Park Primary School will be getting Govt funding for new nurseries! But… I’m also really keen to get Family Hubs (remember SureStart?!) back in Worcester - still more to do!

It was great to drop in to Mr D’s Old Sweet Shop as they launch their new mint drops, inspired by the aromas of the Malvern Hills! Worcester is so lucky to have so many fantastic independent businesses - they make our city incredibly special!!

Last night I led an adjournment debate on kinship carers, calling on Ministers to collaborate and work with other departments to find solutions to the challenges kinship carers face & improve the support they receive. I’m looking forward to following this up with Worcester-based Kinship Carers UK
