This has been a fun mini study on scales! I’ve definitely learned a lot in these past few weeks, but maybe there’s a different way to approach learning and practicing scales? Give me the day to think about it👀

Solo Challenge Week 5! Had to give a little love to the flute this week! Tried a few different techniques for improvising and was super happy with how it turned out! Plus it was fun to add more flute to my lofi track, Dark Skies~ What instrument do you think you'll see next week?👀

Scale Challenge Week 5: Different rhythms were fun to try last week, but it’s still feeling stale with the metronome. So I tried finding a song I could play my scale over! It felt more engaging after weeks of the metronome. Maybe that’s something to try again!

Solo Challenge Week 4 It's time for some tenor! I've been focusing so much on alto that I haven't picked up my tenor for a minute! I wanted to try improvising over my Japanese RnB track, Yoruzora, and am super happy with how it turned out! Hope you dig it too~

Scale Challenge Week 4 I wanted to try something different since playing scales the same way felt a little stale. So I thought I’d try playing my scales in a different rhythm and it feels better! Let’s see how the week goes!

Solo Challenge Week 3 Decided to work on some piano this week! Had fun taking a solo on my Portal inspired track, Depths of Beauty! I definitely wanna keep working on making solos flow better, especially with different chord progressions than I'm accustomed to soloing over.

Scales are starting to feel a little dry and obligatory... I remember feeling that way in my undergrad in practice sessions and school observations. Anyone else had that experience when they played an instrument? Maybe it’s time to switch it up a little!

Solo Challenge Week 2: Time for some woodwinds! This week I decided to work on some clarinet and did a solo over my composition, Bloom With Me~🌸 Which instrument do you wanna see me improvise on next?👀

Scale Challenge Week 2! It’s felt good to establish a music routine again! I’m excited to keep playing more complex scales in this study and play them even faster! What scales should I try for next week’s video?

We working on scales AND solos these next few weeks! Gonna work on improvising on a different instrument each week! This week is flugelhorn and I'm soloing over my composition, Rain~🌧️ Which instrument do you wanna see me improvise on next?👀
