Really enjoyed delivering an antiracism and decolonial workshop to colleagues on our faculty #EDI committee alongside @kaysoclearn.bsky.social. Lots of deeply thoughtful conversations around the impact of the current political climate & barriers to true inclusion by students & staff. #TeamStirling

My students this term have been *passionate* in their rejection of generative AI. I think the wildfires have something to do with it – the environmental impact of data centers, the scarcity of water, the terrible losses they’re seeing. . . it makes the ‘abstract’ of the climate crisis very real.
Talking Spinoza and Affirmative Ethics in teaching in our workshop at ECQI @edinburghuni.bsky.social today! How can we work differently in academia to create ‘joyful encounters’ rather than ‘sad passions?’ With a cameo from Marc Warren 😀😂
Here at ECQI conference Edinburgh talking affirmative ethics in higher education 🥰
Interesting to see the argument that #patriarchy is a key cause in environmental degradation and effectiveness in #conservation of #biodiversity and that this extends to knowledge production as well. www.nature.com/articles/s44...

It’s not fair to call all 313 MPs who voted for the Rwanda bill horrible racists, some of them are merely moral vacuums willing to throw vulnerable asylum seekers under the bus to prolong what’s left of their short careers
So, this is what happens when you publicly criticise British government policy. Strange to see your own name in a headline Guardian article! But we go on. I meant every single word I said to the interviewer. www.theguardian.com/education/20...

Fab day talking about more-than-human teachers at Sussex Uni 🐦 🍄 🌱 It’s taken me 8 years to be able to fully explain posthuman theory and concepts but I think I’ve finally nailed it! 🥳
So…I’ve been on strike this week and have hated it (while obviously being fully supportive). Very glad we reached a settlement today and I can teach my new MSc Education students on Monday :) Feels apt that we’ll be talking about activism and social justice in education 🥰🥳
If you have read "Decolonisation and Legal Knowledge" and you know anyone who you think may want to read it, let them know. Write a review for amazon, goodreads, or even an academic journal. Invite me to talk about it at your law school/University. Tell your library to get it.
