When putting a sphere in a box it might look like it fits perfectly but actually it's too big
When fitting a circle into a square, check this: 1. The circle touches the midpoint of each side 2. The minor axis crosses right through the center
The best way to place a cylinder in perspective is to draw a box first and carve it out of it
The minor axis of an ellipse divides it in half and also is the center line of any cylinder. Use it as a guide
From the front and side a cylinder looks flat, I always draw it slightly tilted so the figure feels 3d
This is how I check if a cube is correct, make sure all the lines intersect at a point
