If you’re in the greater @austintexasgov area, please, please, please avoid driving if at all possible. It is currently sleeting or snowing, but without a doubt we have moisture, freezing temperatures, and very slick roadways. Stay home, stay warm, stay safe!! #RelationalPolicing

Good morning from the Tampa Florida area. There’s no better way to start a day than a 4 mile walk on an absolutely beautiful morning. #RelationalPolicing

I recently joined the @axon_us Ambassador program. While I miss public service, I genuinely enjoy working with a company that consistently supports the men and women dedicated to public safety. I also relish catching up with colleagues like Chief Thomas and Sheriff Diggins. #RelationalPolicing

My 8th grade class photo from Durfee School circa 1978 was posted on social media by a classmate. I wonder which one of the kids is yours truly? #RelationalPolicing

My heart was filled with joy when I ran into members of the @Austin_Police Honor Guard. @APDChiefDavis, your team represented you, your organization, and our fallen heroes well. Thank you, APD, for being the best of the best. #RelationalPolicing

Stayed @ The Vineyards Campground and Cabins in Grapevine, Tx tonight. What a jewel of a place. Downtown @GrapevineTXCity is 1.5 miles from the front gate and offers fantastic dining/shopping. Hats off to @GrapevinePolice Capt. Todd Dearing for the hot tip! #RelationalPolicing

I noticed the low scores on this quiz, which had some basic questions. I’m happy to share that my public school teachers in @elmontecitysd provided me with a great education that prepared me well for this quiz and a lifetime of service to our great nation. www.houstonchronicle.com/projects/imm...

Would you pass the U.S. citizenship test? Take this quiz to find out

People applying for United States citizenship must undergo a rigorous application process that usually culminates with a naturalization test.

Please join me in thanking and congratulating John Cannon, who retired yesterday from the @houstonpolice after 29 years of service. John was a phenomenal public information supervisor and advisor. May he enjoy a long, healthy, and happy retirement. Thank you my friend! #RelationalPolicing

In @Waymo to @PHXSkyHarbor after a phenomenal @axon_us week. My partners know how much I insist on being behind the wheel and in control. With warp-speed advances in AI and technology, it’s important to challenge our comfort zone. Check out the video 👇🏼 #RelationalPolicing

Day One of @axon_us Week in @CityofPhoenixAZ was outstanding. As the public safety threat stream evolves throughout the free world, the smart tech AXON and its partners are making available to keep front-line officers and the communities they serve safe will be truly impactful. #RelationalPolicing

Wishing everyone celebrating this day a safe and joyous Easter. Today presents a chance for us to reflect on the blessings that life has bestowed upon us. #RelationalPolicing

Drove non stop to avoid the storms in the South. God gave me this view tonight. My thoughts are with the victims of the deadly storms we experienced the past couple of days and with my parents who taught us to enjoy life and made us feel better rich when we were far from being wealthy.

Sad start to the day. I will always cherish the time serving alongside Mayor Turner during some very challenging events, from a Super Bowl to Hurricane Harvey, to Ice Storms, two World Series, and more. My prayers go out to Ashley and extended Turner family. RIP, Mayor. x.com/khou/status/...

On connecting @AmericanAir flight from @DFWAirport to @Reagan_Airport. Can’t help but think about the victims of the recent tragedy. Continuing to lift the victims, their families and all the members of the @DeptofDefense, American Airlines, and everyone impacted on prayer. 🙏🏼 #RelationalPolicing

The most powerful force multiplier in law enforcement is the people we serve. In many cases, the sooner you allow the public to review the photos, the higher the chances of a successful resolution. I am proud of the NYPD, their partner agencies, and the public members who offered their assistance.

In the end, it was the simple act of distributing photos — not sophisticated facial recognition technology — that led the police to a man they are calling a “person of interest” in the fatal shooting of the UnitedHealthcare CEO in Manhattan last week.
