A packed weekend ahead for our branch! The listening campaign is back with double door-knocking sessions to continue building trust in our communities, and branch member Carlos will be leading a working group on how we change the political narrative. Hope to see you there!

Yesterday we marched for an Edinburgh that rejects fascism and racism! Great to see our branch banner make its debut and so many members on the streets. This is what solidarity looks like!
Our Listening Campaign is heading into its fourth session! Branch members have been tirelessly knocking on doors to listen to communities all over Edinburgh. And this Saturday we'll be at it again in Dalmeny, join us!
Hear from Max from the Scottish Borders, who joined Your Party after years as a social worker witnessing our dysfunctional system’s human toll. He calls for honest politics that fights hardship’s real roots, not lies blaming the vulnerable, as do we! Thank you for your words Max!
Listen to Marlyn's experience from day 1 of the Listening Campaign in Leith. Real doorstep talks – this is Your Party going out and having crucial conversations with our communities, the moment we've all been waiting for! The campaign continues, join us this Saturday in Craigmillar!
Important decisions were made at today's branch meeting! We chose our Election Oversight Committee reps, voted to turn the branch into a Regional Association, and decided not to stand branch candidates for Holyrood 2026. Thanks to all members who joined us today to shape the future of our branch!
Our first Listening Campaign canvass is done and we couldn't be more happy! Members were out asking the people of Leith what would make life better for them and we had great conversations! We’re thrilled to be back on the streets talking with the public every week from now, see you there!
This appalling case of an elderly tenant with multiple sclerosis struggling up to her third‑floor flat is not a one‑off. It is the result SNP austerity and weak regulations that enable landlords and factors to neglect basic repairs while tenants suffer!
Jennie spoke to us at conference about why she decided to join Your Party, and her story will resonate with a lot of our members. Her words are a powerful reminder of the fight for equality and peace that has brought all of us into this political project.
The FWS legal challenge attacking trans women’s right to be held in women’s prisons is dangerous and dehumanising. Trans women are women, and denying their safety is a violation of basic human rights. We condemn this legal review as the latest assault on trans people's civil rights and dignity.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined our hustings, and to Ian Drummond and Niall Christie for a really clear and constructive exchange. It’s exactly the kind of political discussion we need as we move toward the CEC election!

Your Party members Bob Goupillot and Richard Green argue for an emphatic break with Labourism in favour of a republican socialist strategy.

We're holding an important discussion tackling the question of Scottish independence in relation to Your Party. It will be led by branch members Bob Goulpillot and Richard Green, and framed around their article “Your Party: forging a new Scottish socialist party”.
A huge thank you to our friends over at Ecosocialist.scot for this brilliant write-up on the incredible work of Your Party Leith members! They've inspired us all by standing alongside Rockstar workers against union busting, and by organizing effective resistance to fascists in Falkirk.
Two days ago, branch member Ian Drummond's nomination for the Central Executive Committee of Your Party was blocked on erroneous grounds of dual membership. We're delighted to hear Ian's appeal was accepted and that he will be able stand for the Scottish seat in the CEC!
Your Party Edinburgh and Lothians condemn the hateful act of vandalism carried out at the Edinburgh Central Mosque. We stand in solidarity with the Edinburgh Central Mosque community, confident it will come out of this saddening incident strengthened as a space of compassion and communion.
Thank you to everyone that attended the screening of “Severed: The Story of a Boy From Gaza”, by Jen Marlowe. It follows the life of Mohammed Saleh and his harrowing escape from Gaza under Israeli bombardment.
Coming off the humiliating apology BBC bosses wrote to Trump for their editing of his January 6 speech, Trump’s lawsuit has easily cowered these "journalists", who bow so low to power. Now, they launder his every word.
STAND WITH VENEZUELA 🇻🇪 Attacking a sovereign nation, kidnapping its President and demanding its oil: the United States' actions are indefensible. ✍️ Sign and share our petition demanding Keir Starmer condemns Trump's coup: in.yourparty.uk/en/petitions...
Bombing a sovereign nation and kidnapping the President is the behaviour of a cowboy state. The United States’ attack on Venezuela is illegal — and it is utterly shameful that the UK government refuses to condemn this reckless act of war.
Donald Trump won’t stop with Venezuela. Cuba, Greenland, Colombia and Mexico are already in his crosshairs. This is U.S. imperialism, plain and simple — and it must be resisted in all its forms.
Edinburgh YP Branch members will be screening the 2025 documentary "Severed" by Mohammed Saleh - an 18-year-old from Gaza who has lived through five major assaults on the Gaza Strip. Join us for the screening and discussion at Augustine Church, 7pm!
