🇪🇺🇻🇳Vietnam has been close to my heart since I closely followed the negotiations of our trade agreement. 📈We have achieved a lot together in recent years — but there is still more to do. A valuable exchange this week with a delegation of Vietnam’s National Assembly at the EP.

🇪🇺🇯🇵 The EU & Japan are both major global trading powers that greatly value free trade and a rules-based order. 🤝Therefore, it was a pleasure to meet a delegation of the National Diet. 💡We have a great deal to learn from Japan, particularly in the field of economic security.

🇪🇺🤝🇲🇽 Adopted: modernised EU-Mexico Agreement. Expected to provisionally enter into force by 1 November 2026. While others rely on tariff threats and isolationism, Europe offers the fair alternative: partnership, clear rules and binding standards on climate and workers’ rights.
