I know it filled me, the reader, with dread. Your mugs seem to provide some context.

Journalists all across the PNW laid off by McClatchy today, a damn bloodbath. Some are people I’ve worked with, some are calling me crying because their mentors no longer have jobs. Journalism is so needed. Cutting investigative reporters, city reporters… Idaho & Washington will be worse off.
