Let the record show that when I was volunteering at the Dubuque County Fair over the weekend, Senator Tom Townsend took my walkie talkie and sped off.

Part of being a representative is listening to your constituents, even when you don't agree or it is a bit uncomfortable. It is why I make a point at every fair I attend to visit the Republican booth.

We should cap the cost of insulin and other life-saving medications.

Joe Mitchell will happily rubber stamp every bad policy coming from the DC establishment because his only goal is gain their favor and make himself more money.

For me, part of being a representative is a willingness to have civil conversations with people even when you disagree.

I promise that I will work with absolutely anybody in Congress on ways to address Iowa's cancer crisis. And I will make sure corporations who harm my neighbors are never given legal immunity for their actions.

It is time for corporate accountability. You shouldn't be allowed to ship jobs overseas and keep your massive tax breaks. There needs to be consequences.

I spoke truth to big powerful corporations on the Iowa House floor and will do the same if I make it to the US House floor.

As a mom, I am heartbroken to hear this story and the lack of accountability. We must protect our children online. I applaud this mother's fight.

When Joe Mitchell and I served in the Iowa Legislature together, he introduced a bill that would force doctors to push surgical birth control implants on women after giving birth if they were on Medicaid. Thankfully it did not go anywhere.
