Listening to this album by @petergregsonmusic.bsky.social a lot at the moment. He supported Agnes Obel at the recent concert at The Royal Albert Hall. We could only make out the top of his head from where we were sat so instead of watching I just listened & stared at the beautiful ceiling. Dreamy 👍🏻

Creating this album was as much about discovering a new writing process for me as it was about recording the music I wrote. "Peter Gregson" is the closest I’ve come to capturing the music in my head — and looking back at these behind the scenes moments reminds me how special that process was.

Horizon. I am drawn to the idea in astronomy of an “event horizon” where in the context of black holes, nothing, not even light, can escape. Ritual is a piece for Cello and Rhodes piano. I have always loved the textural sound of a Rhodes, which is an electric piano from the late 60’s with a unique, evocative sound.
