New coworker’s first question was about AI policy. I looked at my lead like this dude had 3 heads and I think he was just as concerned. We work with a lot of sensitive data so, putting the wrong thing into a chatbot can land you in court at a minimum… I’m worried he may be bad at the job.

Current Wardogs Experience. This is after getting through queue twice to get authentication errors, and not including the time they wiped the queue to speed it up. Hopefully this is as bad as it gets.

Couple of things to announce since I've been quiet for awhile. First, I've got my 3.0 model ready, which I'll start using during my Affiliate Anniversary around October 10th! Second, and more immediately, I'm rebranding to TayWire. So if you see TayWire, or TayWireVT in some cases, that's me now.

We’re nearly 20 emails deep and they’ve exhausted the playbook of all the shitty argument tactics one can pull. Coercion via time pressure, moving the goalpost, cherry picking, whataboutism, you name it. I may just have to take a shit deal over nothing and just make it work :(

So my HR doesn't want to accommodate me with remote. They started with "Ok your doc said remote, how about a desk shade?" and now they offered 4 days a month which is like, crumbs basically. Since then they have tried the following:

Update! I’m on meds now and got accommodation request paperwork in to my job. I requested fully remote, they offered me a desk shade. lol. I said no, they offered me 4 days a month. I said no again. Looking forward to their next offer.

Little update, had two appointments with a new psychiatrist, she is much nicer and I feel heard. She's exploring a few different potential diagnoses, but does feel pretty confident that I'm at least mildly autistic with a lot of masking going on. Yippee, I think?

So this is like a mashup of Roleplay, except you've made it antisocial by removing the other people from the interaction, and Television shows, except you've made it antisocial by removing the shared aspect of it. So it's a mashup where you lose the most valuable parts of both pieces. That's great.

Jesus Christ, this is more dystopic than anything Philip K Dick ever wrote but it’s what the Russo Brothers want for your AI Slop future

“Potentially, what you could do with [AI] is obviously use it to engineer storytelling and change storytelling,” Russo said. “So you have a constantly evolving story, either in a game or in a movie or a TV show. You could walk into your house and save the AI on your streaming platform. ‘Hey, I want a movie starring my photoreal avatar and Marilyn Monroe’s photoreal avatar. I want it to be a rom-com because I’ve had a rough day,’ and it renders a very competent story with dialogue that mimics your voice. It mimics your voice, and suddenly now you have a rom-com starring you that’s 90 minutes long. So you can curate your story specifically to you.”

Hardly survived a day. I read through the reviews, and it's a lot of legitimate grievances. The gamemodes are AI slop, Facepunch is vibe coding (it runs like shit), the monetization scheme is disjointed, and more.

I’m watching someone who I know in my heart is a grifter and user doing exactly that. They’ve made repeated attempts to farm drama and step on people around them to get attention and network their way up. Is this considered morbid curiosity?

I find it fascinating that the rich are so out of touch and delusional that they can't understand why people would burn down their place of work. They apparently have 0 clue how financially desperate the average person is right now.

If you haven’t done it yet, file your taxes. Also, don’t forget you can treat content creation as a small business. That doesn’t mean you get to expense everything you want, get a professional to help you file if you don’t know how. Running a little late for that tho…

When I got into this space a lot of people blamed luck for not getting their chance “yet.” Well I’ve been around for a bit now and I regret to inform you that it’s a lot of other things, some you can help, lots you can’t, and a dash of luck.

So Elgato's pushing their Wave Link 3 now and their only option for noise cancellation, Voice Focus, is AI slop and works like shit. It will, for no particular reason, boost your gain and fuck up your voice a lil. That, and/or do virtually nothing. Thanks for the slopware I guess. Woo, more slop...

Following up on this, I realized I'm a LOT happier working remotely, and I don't feel the anxiety/stress building like I normally do that leads to burnouts. So I asked my bosses (I have a few) about how to request going mostly remote. They were super understanding and are helping me navigate it now.

Lately I've been dealing with the reality that there's probably something more than just depression going on with me neurologically, like, ADHD/Autism kind of "something else." I've been a shut book for most of my life, emotionally speaking, I've been masking since I was a small child. (long thread)
