I’m a #PDH pilot and brewer. I love commons and people. Let’s paint alters of $0.25 cards and talk shop.

if you are able, it is a million percent worth it to be specific about the printings of cards you choose to include in your decks. you have to look at those cards when you play so use the ones you like looking at!

Knowing Magic is the biggest hack for learning board games because... "Okay so this is essentially your mana, this can be used as an instant, and this is an enchantment. Oh, and this space lets you Time Walk. Yeah, it's really good." #wotcstaff

It's important as an EDH brewer is to not stagnate and to reevaluate your habits as the game evolves. For years I used to start every black deck I brewed by adding Night's Whisper, Sign in Blood and Read the Bones, but as the game has I've begun also adding Diresight. #growthmindset

I forgot to mention another one of my favorite cards. Shoutout to Ebony Horse, which serves so many purposes as a combat utility piece. A couple activation tricks: - free attack triggers - after first strike damage - pseudo vigilance after damage - targeting hardened escort

It’s cards like Hardened Escort that make me excited to play voltron-esk strategies in #PDH. Also, what’s your favorite high-toughness Rasaad creature? Asking for a friend… 🫣

ok we DEF gonna brew up some battle wise hoplite pdh tomorrow night on stream -- there is a lot going on with these sorts of decks and were gonna cover IT ALL. 7-8pm cst over on the pdh rc youtube channel linked below

I'm working on a larger project, but along the way, I made this graph I don't think I've considered before -- win rate by color pair by format. (Though I've previously shown something with similar data in a different arrangement) What stands out to you?
