I see a lot of people writing queers into romantasy/medieval stories but without homophobia & thus, feel there’s no need to have words for gay & lesbian (despite them being useful terms even if everyone was actually open) Today I created a new word for my romantasy world for gay, lesbian & 2 slurs

Another chapter done. Just over 2k. Most of the other chapters have been between 1.3-1.7k which I felt wasn’t a lot, but this is outlined to be 65 chapters so I think the word count is actually fine. Got my MC into his first parallel universe. Very exciting

5 chapters of my MM SFF novel done this week. Roughly 7k. I only started it on Thursday. Very excited about this one. Whilst querying my second book, I spotted MANY agents looking for epic romantic fantasy (not romantasy) so let’s hope they still are by the time it’s finished

Last year I self published my debut novel. Right now I am querying novel 2 whilst finishing the first draft of novel 3 and gently plotting novel 4. Ugh I’m tired

Why would any show (looking at you Loot) create an in-show advert with a website and NOT get the website? For my novel I created a whole tiktok account just to tie in

I think The Paper is ok but the reality of the camera crew does not hold up at all. Why do they have multiple shots but are not in the background of any shot? It’s “real life” they’re not doing the scene twice. Where were they in the car scene? Nothing makes sense

My issue with shows that are fake documentaries, is they have multiple camera positions but clearly only 1 single camera for the in-show crew. We never see the other camera and if it is only 1 camera, why are they doing multiple takes when it’s real life? This can’t just be me?

Ok. That’s my first wave of 11 agents submitted to. All agents I’d love to sign with including one in particularly who I may have gushed too much to in my query letter. Ooops.

I will never understand dog (and cat) owners who lose their aged pet and get a new dog or cat within weeks.

Okay, wish me luck! Here I go again. Back in the agent query trenches. I forgot how long this takes. Every single agent wants a different file format, file title, different things for the query letter. And if you don’t get these little things right, they’re not even gonna read my chapters.

I bloody love Strange New Worlds. The core of every single tv show ever made, is that it should be entertaining. And SNW does not fail to entertain. Every week. I hope they manage to sneak in another musical episode before the series finale.
