Its actually really fascinating! When developing clothes for ffxiv! Yoshi P gave his dev team a very specific guideline. No one piece of cloth in a clothing item should have more than 34 polygons. Which is why lots of the clothes look so strange and rigid. Look up ffxiv rule 34 for more information!
