Today's morning fright film. New to me. Not significantly different from the version of this story you find in Kwaidan, but for the score by Akira Ifukube. Short, too, which is gratifying because they don't pad things to a longer length.

A Gothic movie a day that I love, sketchy dubbing edition. This brings all the stuff that's subtext in the Gothic up into the actual text. Kinky.
Another Gothic movie a day that I love. American silent film edition. Though, I guess it's international given that its director is a German expatriate.

A gothic movie a day that I love. This one is American, though set in England. It was one of my mother's favorite films. I wonder if she realized just how freaking queer it is.
Another Gothic film a day that I love, international edition. This movie was shot in 70mm technicolor, believe it or not. It's probably my favorite film from this actor.

Another Gothic horror movie a day that I love, international edition. This one is from Spain. Its leading man met a bad end, alas.
Another Gothic movie a day that I love, international edition. This one is from Taiwan.
A Gothic horror movie a day that I love, international edition. A wicked send-up of Hammer horror.
A gothic horror movie a day that I love, international edition. This is a batshit insane movie. Like yesterday's movie, this is from Mexico.
Saw a femmed Tintin on my feed tonight and I thought, "Why bother?" Tintin already looks like a baby dyke with that hairdo. I mean, y'all see it, right?
October is getting closer, so it's time for some horror movies I love. Particularly international Gothics from around the world.
Today's movie a day that I love is in the category of actors I had a crush on in my youth. It's an epistemological film noir, too, which is icing on the cake.
I'm going to have a story in this anthology. My story is cursed but I think I'm going to push through on sheer spite. www.kickstarter.com/projects/sta...

A movie a day that I love. This film and this director seem to revel in turning genres upside down and round and round. This sucker has a punch.
Seated for Coyote vs Acme. I'll try to ignore the fact that coyotes are actually faster than roadrunner.
Another film a day that I love. The first time I saw this actress in a movie, she was playing a vampire and her voice was dubbed. Imagine my surprise at this film, which is a freaking masterpiece.
Yet another movie a day that I love, sacrilege edition.
Went to see The Wrath of Khan/Space Seed double last night and it was packed. Without commenting on any of the other stuff, I gotta say that the duel in the Mutara Nebula is the most beautiful space battle ever filmed. Just lovely.
It's been a while since I showed a pic of myself online. This isn't new, but I do love the attitude in it.
I think I need to stop reading comics. For fuck's sake, dude. What the hell are you doing?

Another day, another film I love. I am generally not a fan of the director of this film, but he isn't on my black list because there is a small cluster of his work that tickles me just so. Like this film.
Yet another movie I love a day. I often tell people that French cinema is my blind spot, but for someone who says that, I own a LOT of French movies. Including this one.
A movie a day that I love, day who knows? A comedy chase sequence that has no equal in the sound era.
