I am shocked that a marketing campaign that entirely hinged on “remember all those other Tom Cruise movies you liked?” was unsuccessful. The trailer was clips from completely different movies! And the posters had Cruise wearing some of the worst looking prosthetic make-up in the modern era!

This looks way worse than the GI Joe Classified Lara Croft figure that just came out. I don’t understand the appeal of a lot of McFarlane toys, because I feel like they always look kind of crappy, especially for the price. Their Marvel stuff has been really bad, too.

I’ve been arguing for a while now that Nintendo treats a lot of its games in the Switch/Switch 2 generation almost like live-service games, in that they’re frequently getting expansions, updates, and events. And it not only keeps people playing those games, but it also keeps them selling.

i've been saying, one path forward for the mid-budget games industry is just... going and making expansions to popular old games. there's a market here. bring back the era of outsourced expansion packs. i'm so serious.

I’m probably not gonna double dip, but I’m happy to see this, and it gives me hope that Pokémon Winds and Waves will be on the cart, and not a GKC.

My oldest played “Choosin’ Texas” for me. You can insist it’s a culture war thing, or that I must have heard that at a dentist appointment or whatever. I have never heard that song in my life. Also, I expected something faster and more upbeat? Even for country (which isn’t my thing), it’s boring.

Seeing Taking Back Sunday live is a religious experience for me. I’ve seen them over a dozen times, and every time I do, it’s like it’s 2004 all over again. I saw that band for the first time, and a switch in my brain got flipped, and it’s been that way for over two decades.

It’s so funny going to emo shows in 2026, because everyone here is like 50 now.

What’s a poster you had in your room growing up? I know Pat Lee is a bad person (though I didn’t at the time), and I know Dreamwave produced much better artists, but this image blew me away when I saw it.

There has never been a bad Pokémon generation; they’re all good games. But Diamond and Pearl remain the worst of them all. Boring region to explore, barely any new Pokémon until later in the game, and the Pokédex is overstocked with unnecessary new evolutions with overcomplicated requirements.

Watched Infinity Buffet. That was absolutely bizarre stuff! Really unique angle for a horror comedy. I don’t know that I loved it, but I don’t regret watching it.

This might be the most blatant example of a professional athlete that can’t actually act hosting Saturday Night Live. Every other skit is basketball related, and when it isn’t, Jalen Brunson has like four lines.

The overarching theme of the Star Wars sequel trilogy is that fascism will come right back in a few years if you don’t completely stamp it out.

I’ve often thought that a smart Detective Pikachu sequel would be Detective Clefairy. Get Reynolds and Justice Smith back with their Pikachu, investigating a strange Clefairy that was also body swapped. Get Danny Devito to do the voice, with some callbacks to the weird Pocket Monsters manga.

It’s so weird that a live-action Pokémon movie came out seven years ago, it got good reviews, made a bunch of money, and The Pokémon Conpany just like… doesn’t acknowledge that it exists.
