Today I coined "Maniputainment" to describe Youtube, Instagram, etc, and I'm quite proud of myself.
Just saw someone say, of an AI prompt, "The only thing i would suggest is to prompt that it remove all bias in its responses" and I have so many questions.

As a former editor-in-chief of The Sun — and in the name of brave, amazing college newspapers everywhere — do not treat student journalists as truffle pigs, taking what they've sniffed out without credit or compensation.

One thing I've found AI to be particularly good at: Surfacing the laziest, most superficial, banal version of whatever might be called an insight. So if I was thinking I had an insight and AI parrots it back to me.... keep working. It ain't there yet.
This isn’t a new Gilded Age, although it kind of smells like it… this is the Pyrite Age.
Most of my optimism hinges on how much people dislike bullshit.
I think someday historians will look back on this as “The Pyrite Age”

I have a hard time understanding how Facebook can blow 70 billion+ on VR and AI but can't find a few pennies to build a web site that works.
