The RVI were excellent about my agoraphobia today and took lovely care of me in clinic D. However I'm very proud of myself for coping with several hours there yesterday and today. My reward, a quick whizz round M&S foodhall as it was quiet, so I've some nice food treats, so now I eat and rest 😋

That's it, all pre op checks done. I've instructions on when to stop various medications before the surgery. I've a few weeks now to try and lose some weight and increase my exercise plus avoid all stress. Everyone has been informed 😁 I'm going to enjoy some me time.

I've no energy to reply to all your wonderfully kind messages but thank you so very much, you are the best ❤️ I'm off to have a nap, I'm exhausted.

It is breast cancer as we thought. Surgery in 5 weeks. It's apparently a nice simple cancer so the surgeon was very reassuring about it. By the time it came to the pre op checks my agoraphobia and panic had set in so they've made me another appointment at a quieter time, so now going to chill.

I've got a simple dress and an upcycle to do tomorrow. All this distracting myself is going to result in a wardrobe of questionable clothes, but the best way to learn is to keep practicing so there's that ☺️

It needs a good wash and press but I've finished it. At least I know now what changes need to be made to the pattern. You see those pockets, they are placed exactly as per the pattern - great for a gorilla - they are far too low 😳 Bored of it now.

This is the dress but I'm leaving it for now. I think I'm going to stick to Stylearc patterns. This is from a Simplicity pattern and despite checking the measurements it's far too big, I will leave altering it to another day.

I sewed a dress, the Eme woven dress by stylearc. It needs a good press. I lengthened the pattern but otherwise just followed the instructions. It was a pleasure to make up, and it has pockets 😁

I'm so glad I posted my message about needing bc support. I've found so many wonderful people, and one in particular who emails like I do, and need. You've given me amazing links and suggestions. It's going to take a while to work through them but what better way to distract myself. You are ✨️❤️

On a school visit to Jodrell Bank when I was 10, I touched an exhibit and it broke. Next day on the news they said Jodrell Bank had stopped working. The guilt I felt 😅

I think I need contact with anyone else who's gone through the breast cancer rollercoaster recently. I've no family, nor anyone else I know that has been through it. I appreciate that you may not want to discuss this, but if you do I'd appreciate it x

My therapist today was beyond shocked that surgery to remove the cancerous lump from my boob, and the lymph nodes, won't take place until the end of September at the earliest. How do the, fast replicating, cancer cells know to not travel round my body in that 2 months?? Seriously? How?

Here's some flowers from the garden. I've never seen these purple honesty seedpods before. I'd seen the white/beige ones but not these vibrant purple ones, they're gorgeous 🌱

Now to cheerier things. I finished the blanket. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Last week I gave another pile of crochet blankets to ageuk but I will be keeping this one 😁🧶

Sorry for jumping ship for a while. It seems that the lump I found is cancer, it's early days and I need more tests but the consultant says it's most probably breast cancer. The nurse said it's treatable so that's good. It certainly explains a lot recently. Next appointment next Tuesday x

A strange day. Therapy good but the way I receive therapy is changing. Call from my link worker saying she'd submitted my form for sheltered housing, but she hadn't so I have to meet her Thursday. GP appt which didn't make sense until it became clear she knows nothing of my complaint in January 🤷‍♀️

The cleaner arrived, it's charged, and it works! 3rd time lucky. Plus it only cost £49.99, is quiet and light, and converts to a handheld. The Akitas U10 for anyone that's interested.
