Another "glowing" echinops for #ShareMondays2026 this one taken with a #lensbaby velvet 85. The bees have been in heaven this last week on these plants.
The tidal road to Sunderland Point, which crosses the salt marsh from Overton. It floods at high tide cutting the hamlet off for a few hours. This is half hour or so before a 9m high tide. Obviously the locals know when it's still safe to cross, as there were cars and vans still driving it.
Had a shortish walk this morning from Middleton Sands, around Sunderland Point and spent a bit of time snapping a few scenes that caught my eye...it was a black and white kind of day! #MorecambeBay

Five from a walk in the Y Dales at weekend. Kingsdale is one of the quieter dales and probably one of the shorter ones, but it still has plenty of interest for the walker and photographer. Five random mono images, which could all be part of the limestone project too! #yorkshiredales #limestone
This caught my eye as I walked across the grassy open field section of Newbiggin Crags. A nothing shot, but I liked the light and the freshness of the wool.
a very small excerpt from a long term project "Beyond Limestone". I've been walking in the Yorks Dales, for more than half my life. I now have hundreds of images in a collection.....one day I'll get round to making something of them....after whittling them down to a sensible number of course.

Went down the allotment yesterday evening to water the crops and took the camera. Had a wander round the site and this caught my eye on the way out!
Can you feel the force....? ....of the wind! Blowing a real hoolie and difficult standing! Slioch across a rather moist bit of bog. An area to return to with a better light, but I quite like the mood. #Slioch #LochMaree
Natural architecture......one of the many echinops flower heads in our back garden.....nature is so clever, so pure, so beautiful.
