HelloFresh has added 70 Rivian electric vans to its fleet, marking Rivian's first major public fleet customer since opening van sales to the public. Now nearly a quarter of HelloFresh’s fleet is electric with more than than 250,000 miles driven in the fleet since the partnership with Rivian began.

According to Amazon's updated news article it looks like Rivian has delivered 20,000+ Amazon EDVs so far. Amazon reached 15,000 Rivian EDVs in July. Amazon has installed over 24,000 chargers at more than 150 delivery stations across the U.S.

Rivian has a site where you can buy inventory used in Rivian's spaces and demo drives. Some vehicles have as low as 100 miles, mostly from showroom displays, while others have thousands of miles from demo drives, still covered by Rivian's warranty. Good place to look if you want to buy a Rivian! :)

Rivian has received approval to "sell" vehicles at their Downtown Laguna Beach theater location, where guides can now assist with online vehicle orders, which was previously not possible.

Big news for Rivian! The U.S. Department of Energy has conditionally committed up to $6.6 billion in loans to support Rivian’s new Georgia plant. This essentially allows Rivian to utilize this loan instead of burning through their existing cash to build the factory.

Tesla has reached a conditional settlement with Rivian over its 2020 lawsuit alleging employee poaching and trade secret theft. Rivian has denied the allegations, calling the suit an attempt to limit competition. Tesla plans to seek case dismissal by December 24 if terms are fulfilled.

Rivian’s CCO, Dr. Kjell Gruner, is leaving to become Volkswagen Group of America’s President & CEO starting Dec 1, 2024. Gruner joined Rivian in 2023 from Porsche NA. VW says his appointment supports their North American growth strategy. Rivian hasn’t announced his replacement yet.
