i was too shy to post my terrible comic last year so i may as well now :) #makeaterriblecomicday2025 . Based on a true story.

A terrible 1 page comic for make a terrible comic day 2025.

Panel 1:
Dizzster happily drives home from work, with her music on shuffle. It's dark. A loud noise starts to come up from behind her.

Caption: Once upon a time ... She was going the speed limit ...

Panel 2: Another car shoots past her a few lanes over. Dizzy is startled.
SFX: VVVOOOOOOOM

Panel 3:
Dizzy stares at the car now ahead of her, racing for the green. She notices something odd about it.

Panel 4:
The other car appears to have a part half fallen off, dragging on the ground and leaving a trail of sparks. Dizzster has drawn it as the bumper, though she doesn't know what it actually was.

Panel 5:
Dizzy stares in confusion at this. Does the other driver not know? Do they not care? Was this intentional, for Cool Effects? She has no answer as Falco's Rock Me Amadeus plays.

A terrible 1 page comic for mandatory MAKE A TERRIBLE COMIC day participation. It is a true story the artist experienced a few days prior.

Panel 1:
A tiny, indistinct bug lands on Dizzy's hand. She's not alarmed by this, as she generally thinks bugs are fine. In fact, her main concern is getting the little bug off of her without hurting it!

Dizzy (thought bubble): Oh! A tiny bug has landed on my hand. I shall simply dislodge her with gentle blowing, as I do not wish to hurt a harmless insect.

Panel 2:
Dizzy gently blows on her hand, trying to remove the little bug. As far as she's concerned, bugs are friends, not foes, so there's no reason for alarm. Unfortunately for her, the reality of this situation is about to become clear.

SFX: PFFFFFF-

Panel 2:
As fate would have it, THIS bug IS a foe. A most woeful foe. In fact, a blood sucking mosquito. The creature has its proboscis lodged firmly in Dizzy's flesh, so deep that it flaps the breeze as she blows on her, attached by that single point.

SFX (continued): FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Panel 3:
Dizzy stares down with alarm, understanding the predicament in full. She does not want to smash it, because it is actively stuck in her hand. She takes a moment to resolve on a course of action.

Panel 4:
Dizzy flicks the mosquito off her hand. It probably died in this moment. Dizzy does feel a little bit bad, after all, it's not the mosquito's fault that it needs to eat blood. All the same, she is not willing to be a docile meal.

silly comic inspired by a co-op Situation. drawn earlier this year but I forgot to post it!!

A one page comic featuring Gwen and Silas from BTD6.

Panel 1:
Gwen and Silas are stationed at the Flooded Valley map. She's standing in the water on one of Silas's ice platforms, rocking it back and fourth a little. She looks uncertain and a little displeased. Evidently, Silas thinks she dislikes the ice itself.

Gwen: No, your ice is fine. It's just that if I melt it I'm getting dunked.

Panel 2:
Silas sassily flips his hair. Of course she won't melt his ice! His powers are too strong for that.

Silas: IF you melt it.

Panel 3:
Gwen disagrees with the notion that she CANNOT melt his ice, but concedes that it's unlikely in this situation. Just as she relaxes, however, her foot slips on a slick patch of his ice platform (perhaps it WAS somewhat wet from the residual heat of her flamethrower).

Gwen: Eeeeeeeh. I guess I won't be shooting it directly. I'll trust--

Panel 4:
Poor Gwen falls straight into the water. Silas looks on, startled, unable to intervene.

Gwen: --HWAAA-
SFX: SPLOOSH

Panel 5:
Gwen, soaking, coughing, and spluttering, drags herself back onto the ice platform. She is deeply unhappy about being wet, and perhaps worse, her pride is badly bruised. Her weapon is just as soaked as she is. Since there's no graceful way out of this mess she makes a show of her displeasure. In the background, a few red bloons start to approach.

SFX: KOFF COUGH
Gwen: BWEGH!
Silas: Apologies.
Gwen: BLARGH!
Silas: Ice can be slippery.
Gwen: Blech.
Silas: There are bloons coming.
Gwen: Yea, that's gonna be a your problem for now buddy.

The've been gifted a sample of the latest Hero Merch Drop(tm). Quincy cuddles his plushie to his face with a huge grin, delighted by the facsimile. It's like the son he always wanted. He's perfect.

Gwen inspects hers a little more dubiously. It's a bit funky looking, and her shirt isn't quite the right color.

Quincy: He's the perfect little mini-me!
Gwen: Hmmm.

Gwen flips her plushie around and is amused to discover a new detail.

Gwen: Heh.
Gwen: Mine's balding.

quick doodle comic. i get a chuckle out of imagining Obyn treating Ben as his personal tech support guy.

Panel 1: Obyn clutches a smartphone awkwardly in his big hands, squinting down at the screen with intense focus. He doesn't get technology and doesn't want to, but for SOME reason everyone insisted that he must have a phone "in case of emergencies". It's a good thing he has a friend who is extremely skilled in this field, who he can rely on to answer his questions.

Ben (over speakerphone): Yep, it was just the rotation lock. Glad we fixed that. Need anything else?
Obyn: Yes.
Obyn: How do I... End the call?
Ben (over speakerphone): Right. Okay.

Panel 2: Ben, it turns out, is currently mid-battle. Some sort of MOAB class bloon sails overhead, being attacked on all sides by various monkeys. Ben would have put this off, but he correctly guessed that Obyn's issue would be easy to solve and probably something they've gone through before.

Ben: Do you see the red button on your screen?
Obyn (over phone): This one--* [END]

jury duty related misunderstanding based on a childhood memory (explained more in the replies lol)

Panel 1:
Laurel and Rowan are checking the mail. Rowan clutches Laurels key rings, having just had the honor of being the one to unlock and re-lock their mailbox. Laurel flips through its contents, finding mostly the usual junk, until she pauses at a small but important looking card. It's a jury duty summons for her wife, Diana. Rowan doesn't know what that is, but he realizes this is odd.

Laurel: Hmm. Nothing. Bah. Not important. Oh.
Laurel: Your mommy got a jury duty summons.

2:
The two have gotten back in the car. Rowan is in the backseat, safely secured and holding a beloved green dinosaur toy.

Rowan: What's jury duty?
Laurel: Uhh... Let me make this turn.

3: Laurel attempts to answer Rowan's question, but she's busy driving and doesn't exactly understand it herself! As he listens to her explanation, Rowan's confusion quickly evolves into alarm.

Laurel: It's uuhhh. It's when a bunch of people work together to decide if someone did a crime.
Laurel: They decide if they're guilty or not.
Laurel: Mommy has to go to court for it.

4:
Rowan is entirely focused on this new jury duty problem now. He drops his toy as he whispers a new question.

Rowan (loud whisper): Is that bad?

5: Laurel is distracted by driving, a task she does not enjoy at all. She doesn't realize Rowan is getting upset.

Laurel: HUFF. Kind of.
Laurel (thinking): Need to focus.
- The car behind me is too close. I hate them. I have Rowan in the car!
- Diana could explain it better.
- It's annoying that she has to do it.
- Do they pay people for jury duty?
- Law stuff is confusing.

6:
Rowan is fully panicking now, imagining a future in which his Mommy (Diana) is falsely accused of being GUILTY and locked up in jail forever and ever and ever and ever! And he and his Mama (Laurel) are sad forever and he never sees her again ever even when hes an old man! This is a truly dire situation.

Imaginary jury: GUILTY!!
Imaginary Diana: But I'm not!
Imaginary old man Rowan: And I NEVER saw my Mommy again.
