1/2 Colorado Folks: Initiative 195 (graduated state income tax) has made the ballot. I'm in favor of this (although open to arguments against it). This story has a nice calculator that tells you your effective tax rate based on your income so you can see if your state taxes would go up or down.

1. Mitch McConnell suffered a fall on June 14 and has not been in the Senate for two months. But he's continued to get paid his salary of 174K/year. Since he entered the Senate in 1985, McConnell has voted against creating or expanding medical leave — paid and unpaid — at least 23 times.
