A movement of voters and activists creating a kinder world for all species. Animal abusers, watch out.
Without naming names... saying you don't support the foie gras ban because you're concerned about a restaurant's ability to market their menu (???) is a wildly unserious argument. Is there a "FOIE GRAS WORLD" restaurant in Portland I'm unaware of?
Fantastic coverage of the measure proposed by Pro-Animal Washington D.C.
Under the initiative, retailers and restaurants that serve foie gras could be fined $1,000 to $5,000 per violation and risk having their business license suspended for repeat offenses.

Our friends at the Animal Law Program at DU hosted another amazing lecture today! Jennifer Jacquet spoke about the role of the beef industry and climate denial, similar to the oil and gas industries. www.law.du.edu/animal-law
VICTORY! Berkeley will become the first city in the US to ban factory farming. With the majority of the vote counted, 60% of Berkeley voters voted YES on Ballot Measure DD, a prohibition on Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs). #EndFactoryFarming
There will be no rest for animal abusers. We're coming for you.
