Ask not why the rock is watching the Magic School Bus. Ask why you aren’t watching with him?

Human technology I have found exclamation. Be prepared to be amaze, amaze, amaze. Exclamation! |FC: James Ortiz (for human Rocky)| |18+| Written By: https://Bumblebee .|
Rocky didn’t move an inch, his normally warm carapace was cold, it was like he was dead.
Hastwyn looks at him curiously, gently reaching out to stroke his carapace as he falls asleep. She glances out into the night, watching the stars for movement across the land.
“Yes, is portal from here to your world.” He wasn’t going to go into too much detail, he didn’t want to confuse Pippin. “Outside Bio-Dome. Cannot go there.”
"Is that what that door is?" Pippin looks up into the sky. "A portal to another world? Where are all the people?"
“Have cycle celebrations yes! Great warming and cooling. Also have celebration for Grace and Rocky, is much fun. Very big thrum many voices.” He goes on to explain the mildly complex science behind the celebrations. “Is big celebrations.” He starts picking up more yarns that he likes. —
“Will there be a celebration? Do you have celebrations like we do? Like, when the seasons change? We have Yule or, I suppose it’s Solstice celebrations. When the night is longest, we celebrate because they’ll get shorter again.” Full of questions. -
His wails go soft a moment as he listens, his grip loosening as Grace pulled back. “Earth treat Grace bad, question?” There’s a subtle tone shift, the kind that usually meant Rocky was figuring out if he needed to go yell at someone for treating Grace too roughly. Everyone thought—
“Not mad, never mad.” Things had been out of his control. Actually, being kidnapped by the weird brunette lady would have been a lot more fun even if she did make his dreams strange. “Hey, Rock?” Serious for a moment, Grace pulled back a little. “I don’t think I belong there anymore.” -
“No standards, is also Clutch and society standing. But is arbitrary, only mandatory clothing is celebration clothing.” He picks up a couple more earthy toned yarns, testing them for their softness. “Rocky get it, maybe make new sweater for human form.” He points to the lilac colored yarn. —
“Ah, so there are no social standards to follow?” “That green will bring out your eyes. That means it will look charming on you. If you wanted to make— oh! Something very textured for the winter!” She was leaning towards blues and lilacs. And then headed for the softer baby yarns.
“Dress code?” He stops mid picking up a green yarn ball. “Is… just fine how is dressed..” Heck his time in space he had his sweater that Adrien made for him. But some Eridians just chose not to wear anything.
“Well I do love investing rocks!” “And being warm.” She was squishing everything. It wasn’t enough to just look, she had to touch. Even if she could still hear her mother threatening to rap her knuckles for doing so. “May I ask about the dress code?”
Rocky was crying for the both of them audibly. If Grace wasn’t aware, Rocky missed him more than anything. “Rocky thought Grace mad and leave Rocky…” He warbles in a low tone. “Thought.. Grace leave because wanted earth more than Rocky.” He was glad he fought off the scientists that wanted—
“I have been trying for the past few days!” He’s patting where he can pat, and squeezing his eyes closed so he doesn’t end up bawling. “I got trapped by endless paperwork!” “It was a terrible idea to go back, TERRIBLE! They wanted explanations.”
“Yes, Rocky like the chunky yarn.” He nods then looks around. “Rocky show Winnie everything on Erid. Winnie will love Erid.”
“Chunky yarn, then.” Even if Rocky didn’t buy any yarn here, it was probably good for him to see them all so that he could recreate them using the special stuff he used. The fun was in the experience. “I am looking forward to it, Mister Rocky and I will be very well behaved.” -
Rocky wrapped all five limbs around Grace, practically smushing him. But still being gentle as to not break his bones. He’s making a wailing sound as he presses into him to listen to his heart. “Grace! Grace! Return! Come back!” He’s just so elated.
He’s braced for impact and rolls with it! Practice has made, well, not perfect, but less of a risk to life or limb. “Rocky! Buddy, I missed you!” Even though he vanished and was busy doing whatever he was doing. He still missed his pal. “But I brought gifts!” Stuff he could fiddle with
“Winnie can show however Winnie wish to. Rocky be happy to introduce new friend to mate.” He swayed slightly. “Rocky like earth tones but likes thicker yarn so doesn’t slip when using xenonite shell.”
“I was going to suggest that I be Eridian. But perhaps that would also be rather difficult to explain.” She grinned. Rocky might have only two legs right now, and do the talking like she did, but he looked the same to her. Sort of. All overlapping. “We should find a gift that they’d like.” -
Does not care what’s being said Grace has returned. He’s making happy and sad sounds at the same time and pressing his whole carapace into him. He missed Grace very, very much.
He. Stops. First he starts walking, then it picks up into a trot and then a full on sprint. He tackles Grace. Squealing and chirping and squeaking.
“I can explain!”
“Rocky hope Grace come back…” He sighs heavily, he knew Grace would be safe… he just hated being away from him. “Adrien would like Winnie, is use to meeting humans. But… might throw vent if Rocky show up as human.” He loves his mate with all five of his hearts. “Would not like to scare—
“Sometimes people get lost in their own head. And sometimes it can take a little time to come back. And it’s nobodies fault, it just is that way.” That was as much wisdom as she had. “Do you think that Adrien would panic to meet me? I think I’d like to meet your beloved.” -
“Well… Rocky still haven’t told Adrien.. Adrien would panic.” Pretty sensible. “Grace thought Rocky was hallucination. But Grace is…. Somewhere… Told Grace portals were safe, then he disappear too.. is ok… he probably just teaching… or… doing human stuff… is ok.” It really wasn’t. Rocky —
He suited the glasses. It made him look like he enjoyed long stories of adventure full of unexpected twists, and recounting them energetically. Very different from the stuffy men she remembered from, well, when she remembered that sort of thing. “Oh, did your Adrien see your human form?” -
Rocky had changed his form to human to fit in better and actually look at what he’s wanting. He was happy to just look out the window at the world around them. He loved everything. He had gone with the simple black frame glasses Winnie liked, they greatly improved his enjoyment of looking at —
It’s easier to think today, she knows how to arrange for someone to drive them there. The journey is quicker than it should be, but not in a way Rocky might notice. She’s good at slipping things through time and space, including cars. Then they’re at the festival. -
Rocky hummed and chittered to himself happily, he really wanted to go now. “Rocky Winnie go now!” He was enthusiastic and ready to go. He starts putting his other projects away.
“I’d love to hear about your customs, Mister Rocky.” She had a lot of weird customs, too. Like talking things that weren’t there and drawing symbols on the ground. “I think it’s perfect to enter. There’s lot of different… uhm…” The word slipped her mind. -
“Is human thing, but Rocky does not question. Erid have many customs that would not make sense to Winnie. Is ok.” He stops picking at his claws. “Winnie think blanket would be good to enter, question?”
“Oh, it’s just a superstition, you don’t have to. And sometimes I just use it to excuse the errors I make.” His work was perfect. Utterly perfect. “I think we humans say and do a lot of strange things.”
“Is… suppose to add error, question?” He rocked anxiously as she inspected his work, he knew she would like it. But he still had a bit of anxiety. “Rocky weaving for one hundred and ninety one years, is very good, good, good at weaving.” He nervously picks at his claws.
He didn't ask awkward questions, and she didn't have to answer them. It worked well for them both. And around Rocky, Winnifred felt... normal. If such a thing as normal could be felt. She reached for the blanket, eyes wide, finger seeking to check the squish and the softness of the yarn. -
Rocky nodded, also not really understanding what a god was. But as long as Winnie took care of herself that’s all he cared about. “Good, good, good. Rocky happy, happy, happy Winnie return.” He hummed and shifted on his legs. “Rocky like competition! Rocky bring blankets!” He’d been —
It is because Rocky is special. But his questions are a little difficult sometimes. To her, she wasn't gone. Not really. She is here now, which means she has always been here now and will always be here now. But she grins through her confusion. -
That’s because Rocky is special and makes her little trinkets. She’s also one of the few people Rocky will willingly hug for long times. “Is ok, Rocky forgive.” He chitters happily. “Rocky want to go to yarn place! Get much yarn for many, many, many, projects!” He lets her go after a moment—
Rocky should know that he is one of the chosen few she allows to touch her. She's crouching down to hug him back, black hair spilling over his carapace. "I am terribly sorry, sometimes I forget about time and the way it ticks to tell people when Wednesday is." -
Rocky stops what he was doing to look up at Winnie. “Friend Winnie!! Where go to! Gone 604800 seconds! Missed, missed, missed!” And he’s up to go give her a hug. “Missed wed-nes-day knitting day”
"Mister Rocky! I also have much knitting projects. I keep starting new ones because I forget about the finishing part." "Would you like to go to a yarn festival with me?"
He has so much knitting projects. He’s working double time. (Four legs working on the multiple projects.)
//Rocky as an uncle for sure. He’s just a soft guy that loves his neices and nephews.
“Is popular on Earth!” He stands very proudly. “Erid….. not so much..”
"Rocky's got his own little fanclub, huh? Somehow, I knew he'd be popular."
“Welcome.” He chirps back. “Thank for being friend to Rocky.”
Grace chuckles softly. "Right back at ya, buddy." He turns to resume his experiments, but pauses and looks back at Rocky. "...Thanks, Rocky."
“Yes, have beds. Have many similar things to earth, just different styles.” Oh, Grace is definitely in for a surprise. Rocky isn’t like the others. And he definitely won’t fit in now but it’s ok, he has Grace. (And hopefully still Adrien.) “But Eridian scientists make bed for Grace, no worry.”
Grace is glad, too. He wonders what Adrian is like. Are all Eridians like Rocky, or do their personalities differ as much as humans? Only one way to find out, but it's better than having nothing to do while the ship autopilots them home. "Do you guys have beds?" he asks. That's kind of important.
