A different bunny in my near future? We shall see!

Most US residents have heard me play bass and say "ow". Bear-based entertainment, the occasional trenchant insight. Special hellos to everyone coming over from the formerly tweety site!
Live your life in such a way that you're toasted instead of roasted
Cosmik 🔜 AC 🔜 MFM #SupportFandomMusicians@cosmik.bsky.social · 5d agoTIL that one of my high school classmates was a founding members of Gwar. RIP Chuck.
Forcing myself to do a project in Dorico today. I've opened it up and I can't remember how to enter one single note. (Having bsky open at the same time isn't helping but I'll tackle one problem at a time.)
"Tell me what 4 animals you are" This is just a ploy to get people to list their alt accounts, and I won't fall for it 😁 (aside from @laserwolf.bsky.social who's coming back to the stage in 2027, woohoo!)
I live in the same Orlando suburb as Carrot Top. Only saw him once, in traffic, driving past our local Chipotle. Recent news feels a bit like whiplash.
Currently sitting in a hotel convention room getting ready to perform at a fundraiser. No fursuiters *anywhere*. I don’t know how people get through life.
Got a call from my Sweetwater salesman asking how I was enjoying the new accessories. He mentioned that he didn't know that I played guitar. I emailed him a pic of my guitar. Full disclosure, I sent him *this* pic of my guitar. I absolutely won't regret this later, will I? 😁
Not sure who needs to hear this, but I'm not opening for Ed Sheeran
Odd little coincidence: A few days ago I ordered a jade tree from Home Depot; they didn't have them in stock here in Orlando. Just checked the shipping tracking; it shipped from Olive Branch, MS. And to think I was done with Olive Branch. @mephitfurmeet.org
Three vaxes today: Flu, COVID, and one I wasn’t even aware of called TDap. Come stand next to me if you want the deluxe fast Wi-Fi 😁
Recent project: recording all the parts of a big band chart. I didn't pass the audition for the junior high jazz band at band camp and I missed out on playing this piece. Until now. Fifty years later. soundcloud.com/user-8320756...

Testing, testing. I want to do a thing.
Today's puzzle: deciding how to resolve a discrepancy (it's near my index finger) while wearing a Boozy Badger T shirt
I did the thing. Started out with Minnesota in the lead, shifted to Nevada, ended up in Nebraska. Never lived in any of them. Missouri native, college in Arkansas and Massachusetts, currently live in Florida, have always felt self-conscious about my vocabulary and accent.
This is going to be a rough week, having NCD from having missed two cons in one weekend
Just got an email that says I'm about to get a check for my share of Fringe ticket sales. I had no idea there was any revenue to speak of, so, I'm happy to get a cheeseburger out of the deal. Or, barring that, anything off the dollar menu.
Have fun, Megaplex! Wish I could be there. This is getting to be routine and I don't like it.
No MFM this year, and Cosmik and I are just thrashing around for substitute Labor Day plans. So far everything's prohibitively far away, prohibitively expensive, or both.
If, the gods forbid, I'm never able to finish the project, this segment should be out there as an example of what it might have been. www.furaffinity.net/view/66067105/
What's That Like? demo (from Ony, The Runaway Circus Bear) by RhubarbTheBear

Noticing artists going on a blocking spree today because they cherish their bad opinions... If you really want to argue the point, yeah, I guess it can be too late to change your mind. After you're dead. If you're still alive, I don't see how it can be too late. But that's just me.
Bumping for anyone who missed their chance to shrug or yawn or change the subject to something else
Mephit (canceled)! Holiday stuff? Bunny!... in that order@rhubarbthebear.bsky.social · 2mo agoMy long-suffering rock opera “Ony, The Runaway Circus Bear” is shelved. For now. The factors which would compel me to either go forward with a completion and release, or an outright mercy killing, are outside of my control. But is that true? I’ll let you decide. 1/?
"Holiday stuff?" might be clarified soon. Actually pre-holiday, pre-Halloween even. In the city that never sleeps. One of those things that will be fun to talk about on social media but won't actually be a gigantic step forward. But what do I know?
Posted my recent Ony thread to FurAffinity, where it won't get as lost in the fast-flowing current. The response so far has been, shall I say, worthy of study.
Yeah, what Babs said. Except this was my first, and last. I didn't keep up with the technology.

In less complicated news, here’s my electric bass which I’m playing on a four week show run
