LRTs - been feeling it so hard recently. Burnt out from making things leaves no time to market them (which is basically a full time job you need to be good at). Trying to do all that stuff leaves no time to make good art to advertise. A frustrating hell circle that only leads to being broke and sad

If I were good at scheduling, and public communications, and responding to emails, and brand management, if I got any fulfilment from ANY of that? I would have job in literally any private industry, and I would earn a *wage* for it.

Look. If I were *any* good at marketing, I’d be earning six figures and still living in the South East, alright? I’d have a job in MARKETING, where they PAID ME.

I miss when authors got to be withdrawn eccentrics, prone to Outbursts. Having to maintain a public identity that doesn’t scare off readers/publishers is distressing for a naturally solitary species.

My inability to retain a respectable and professional persona for any length of time (when I’m not actively at work) begins to speak of self-sabotage.
