There is a lot of research that bisexual women are among the most likely demographics to experience abuse, assault, suicidal ideation, & attempt suicide. Hayden came out of the closet for the first time just this year, & now she’s gone, & there’s an active investigation, & I am so sad.

They protested to stop us from going to war against people who didn't do anything to us, for reasons we all knew were lies, and couldn't stop it. And since then there has never been a moment when we weren't at war. It'd be fucked if that *wasn't* a trauma.

one of my newest pet peeves: line breaks after every sentence in a post. I think it's supposed to add dramatic tension, but it just looks like everyone's twitchy about enjambment.
"I'm entitled to whatever I want whenever I want it for any reason and I don't care what satisfying these urges does to me or the world" well okay dude, seems like there's something deeper going on here, but that's just my take

There are a lot of people who were capable of being open-minded when Arabs and Muslims were simply the *subject* of US policy but whose response to those communities having an active role in American politics on par with other ethnic and faith groups has been to totally lose their shit.

the nostalgia diner industry should have aged past the 50s. I should be able to go to an era-accurate 90s diner, served a room temp Fruitopia by staff in babydoll dresses, there should be a Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition machine against the wall. They could sell Desert Storm trading cards.

The lesson from OCD I wish were more general: you cannot guarantee that bad things won't happen, and seeking reassurance keeps you from learning to be comfortable with risk, and being able to approach those risks realistically instead of panicking every time you hear of a new bacteria/virus/fungus
