Beacon Hill, looking westwards along the line of hills; Sidown, Pilot and Walbury. This was an intensely significant area 2,000 years ago and it is heartening to see the wildlife starting to recover after the hot summer.
I have started packing for here. 3 days until we camp the West Okemont Valley again.

Castle hillfort, Wittenham Clumps earlier today; the distinctive, contour-hugging earthworks features the local depression known as the "Money Pit," tied to folklore of hidden treasure guarded by a raven. So there you go.
