The European Court of Human Rights has ruled today that Russia tortured and killed Georgian soldiers during the 2008 war, violating the right to life and the prohibition of torture. Russia held the soldiers as prisoners of war and was found to bear full legal responsibility despite active combat.
Georgian prosecutors want us to believe these two people are the same. This is evidence from the court case of one of the defendants in the October 4 cases. Many have already been convicted, including a 72-year-old doctor who was trying to provide medical aid at the protest.
