It’s moral authority is in tatters when it encourages the arrest of peaceful protesters and yet does little to stop paramilitary thugs from causing chaos at our major ports. The Home Secretary in particular has serious questions to answer.
Living it up today, so I'm now in a Wetherspoons. Anything could hapoen really. But I notice they serve Leffe Blonde so there's grounds for optimism.
It seems odd that law enforcement appears to be unaware of this guy's activities

When you shop in Cambridge, knowing how much of the city centre forms part of the university estate, it can make you hold back from adding to its profits. Its honour is increasingly besmirched.

I don't think I do the deaths of total strangers any more. It doesn't mean I don't respect their suffering or achievements, but it is such a waste of energy and emotion. I'm far too old to bother bleeding for them. I need to start thinking about and planning my own.

Has anyone West Suffolk way had any odd dealings with parking services at West Suffolk council? Particularly their sourcing of DVLA data, which looks wonky. Have they got a reputation for ineptitude?!

I don't find it annoying at all. Parley has resumed and he's got on with it and cleared Burnham's path.
Duncan Hothersall@dhothersall.bsky.social · last wk.Not surprised about Starmer standing down as an MP. It's not a huge issue for me, even if he appears to have picked his timing to annoy Burnham. There will be a by-election which Labour is almost certain to win, so democracy is served. Not many former PMs fancy doing a Ted Heath. I don't blame him.
An interpretation by boys but only that. It signals a change of direction. And if Starmer thinks it better to get out of the way, why not? Especially if he has somewhere to go. Momentum is what you actively build. Stagnation shouldn't be a viable option.

I found a nice brand in Asda in Cambridge last week called Amaar. Different packs of vacuum packed, ready cooked Asian veg dishes that you simply microwave. And quite low fat. Great cupboard staple when you cook solo. Tonight it's Dal Palak, so I'll have it with salmon and steamed green vegetables.
That lovely retirement glow at 6pm on a Bank Holiday Monday, when you know you don't have to psyche up to go to work tomorrow and iron your sodding work clothes.
Now off out in search of those funny little screwdrivers that you can tighten the screws on your varifocals with. Fed up of them falling off the top of my head after I push them up to read.
I've now survived about 80 episodes of The Blacklist over the weeks and I think I'm done and out. The female protagonist and her husband are two incredibly stupid young adults and I cannae stand any meer.
Reform voters seem incredibly fickle, as if their critical analysis can't cope.
