Oh No! I was thinking it had gone awfully quiet from Bill in the last few years, and wondered how he was. 😭

New on Adobe.Design: a short piece by me on using grade to elevate typography. Grade before might at first seem like weight, but where weight serves to differentiate (adding emphasis and contrast), grade’s purpose is to unify (bringing consistency to text that looks different when it shouldn’t).

WE HAVE AVOCET NEWS!!! An Avocet spotted at RSPB Middleton Lakes has been confirmed as the oldest ever recorded in the UK. At 36 years old, it's lived more than five times longer than the species' average lifespan. First ringed in 1990, it's still out there doing Avocet things. Go on Avocet. 😍
