My "people will not be persecuted for attending synagogues" t-shirt has people asking a lot of questions etc
Such a sad and shameful day for the Greens. By no means the main point when the motion is such a disgrace, but it’s really harmful to environmental action when the Party that has for so long been one of the main advocates for tackling the climate and nature crisis is hijacked in this way.
I'm old enough to remember when the Greens were disdained as a single-issue party but it was a different single issue.
The Green Party conference passed the "Zionism is racism" motion 1022 votes to 813 votes, a 55% to 45% margin, with 10 spoiled ballots
Google Photos used to say Happy Memories! or Remember This Day? and now it says 2023 Lore because software has to have a personality now and the personality it has to have is "a cunt".
People who describe Parkrun as a "fun run" have never seen my six-year-old when he sees a boy from his class just ahead of him.
It’s tough pushing gigs these days but any sharing/reposts very much appreciated xx

Incredibly proud of my youngest brother who exemplifies what people living with disabilities can accomplish with appropriate support. He’s been very lucky and I wish we could make sure all people got what they need to flourish. Here he is talking about his hobby as a DJ
Shalim Ali: music and arts give us all a chance to express ourselves
Sharing music through being a DJ brings people together, allows me to enjoy myself and recharge, and gives me a break from the serious demands of work

I find this so fascinating, because it genuinely breaks my heart - knowing that terrible things happen to these people in the "real" film! Brains are so stupid.
Still the absolute funniest "trailer remix" ever made -- as well as one of the very first of its kind, debuting in 2005 Every shot is perfectly chosen God I could watch this all day
I wrote about how Ukraine, cognitive warfare and Russian aggression was high up on the agenda at Labour Party conference, for @opendemocracy.net www.opendemocracy.net/putin-ukrain...

once again Joyce Carol Oates, 88, has chosen violence
Emerging: I might have just lent it to some robbing bastard who never gave it back. More news as we get it.

it's good that impressionists are using deepfakes now because if you thought it was cool hearing Christopher Walken's voice coming out of someone else's face just imagine how cool it would be hearing Christopher Walken's voice coming out of Christopher Walken's face, wow amazing
Before very long you people are going to be wondering what the hell to buy your dad or your aunty or your weird cousin for Christmas. And when that day comes - and believe me it will - you will wish you had ordered a custom crossword from me.

Brian Wilson *writes melody of almost agonising perfection* This one's called "Gee Wilikers It's Netball Season"
The nurdles on our Tyneside coast are back with a vengeance today, both depressing in and of itself but also a clear indication of what will happen periodically over the coming months and years and tides and winds bring some of the many millions of plastic pellets still swirling around in our seas.

Reanimated AI Greta Garbo stars again … in a ball-bearing advert
My uncle was delighted with his: it was elegant, witty, and pretty challenging (not unlike R Smyth, perhaps).
