Some people survive off fucking MAILING LISTS somehow. Reach is only useful if it reaches something you want. Views only matter if they're meaningful.
Self-insert characters are good and valid and good for you, actually. If you are having fun and not harming others, then you are winning, chat. Don't let anyone yuck on your fun or make you feel bad for it. Do what you want with your creations forever.
