Great anniversary issue with lots of fun science and clobberin’ but we did lose something special in this issue and I’m a little sad over the loss

Deadman makes his way through the nine levels of hell to confront Lucifer himself only to discover the rules have changed to the game he was playing - so next stop is to take it up with the big guy himself - that should cause some worrying and gnashing of teeth

So Alfred had a great niece and she’s a capable fillin as butler - lots of assassins in town doing their business successfully - and a bloated joker appearance - quite a nice issue

Pretty good read especially since I remember very little of the first run not even sure how much of it I read back then feels like a lifetime ago - it came out in 1999 so I guess it kinda was

A tale as old as time - astronauts crash on an ape planet - get killed by a predator who also kills a bunch of gorillas but not the chimps because I dunno - unarmed I guess

Two story annual - first, lobo and bats team up to solve an alien murder and then a professor pig problem in an artist collective gets Batman’s attention

Oh the dreaded penultimate - only one issue left in this run - not enough sales I guess

Dropping one absolute sticking with the other at least for another issue - even absolute Batman is losing its luster - not sure why - maybe it’s me

Got the bad guy cartoonist but even in jail he’s still gunning after our assassin - ole dad came to the rescues but is fed up - so is Sophie - let’s hope they all forgive the big galoot - Still my favorite of the vertigo line

Gettin the band together issue to take down the midnight mission and save the gang - and in this case the band is the midnight sons - ghost rider blade daredevil moon knight - should be a pretty strong team

Bat and friends try to right wrongs done to Prion and his family for decades by an evil shadow assassin group

I Love a high concept - this is the story of a town full of all the witness protection stashes - all in one place / someone found out and then a body turned up to spoil the fun so the local cop and us marshal team up to solve the case and gather up all the witsecs for a big move

Whole lotta characters to keep track of and plot not evident yet - Not sure this needed another volume but I said the same thing before with Injustice and DC vs Vampires and they were pretty good sequels

Today’s comic is all about mathematical constants, number systems and evolutionary DNA altering - sound fun kids? it was!
